Voluntarily Imprisonment

JOHN 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (understand).                                  Cf. Rom 6:14,18,22

Jesus is the truth, he is the source that truth derives from, and the perfect image of what truth looks like, and truth shall be. He pardons us from a life of continuous enslavement to the deceitfulness and deceptions of Satan.  He displays plainly the path to eternal life with God. Jesus does not allot us the freedom to live as we please, but freedom to follow God.  When we pursue to serve God, Jesus’ flawless truth frees and unshackles us  to become all that God predestined us to become in the beginning of creation.

Many times you hear people expressing their justifications about why they choose to do what to they do, even though the ramifications of the results are some times detrimental (literally) for them…and others.

What makes a person voluntarily metaphorically handcuff him or herself to a situation that they know reeks with hazardous components that guarantees disaster and destruction?

I am so…familiar with the saying, “Everyone has to make their own mistakes and find out for themselves”.

However, since it’s just a saying, which has no valid evidence of it being true; why do so many freely and voluntarily choose to embrace such saying and blind path of not knowing, then the one with clarity and true freedom?

Do you know we’re created in the image of God?

Do you know we’ve been (man/woman) given dominion over the earth…not the world?

Do we know, those who believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior are truly free to exercise their God-given rights…freely with power and dominion?

Do we know, or do we choose to continue being enslaved to not knowing we’ve been made free in Christ Jesus to live with God..FOREVER?
